The Occupational English Test (OET) is an international English language test that assesses the language proficiency of healthcare professionals seeking to register and practice in an English-speaking environment.

OET is recognized by regulatory bodies and employers worldwide and is required by many healthcare professionals to obtain registration, licensure, or employment in English-speaking countries. The test is specifically designed to assess the language skills that healthcare professionals need to communicate effectively in their workplace, including:

• Listening: Understanding spoken English in healthcare settings, such as doctor-patient consultations, nursing handovers, and patient education sessions.
• Reading: Reading medical literature, patient records, and other written materials related to healthcare.
• Writing: Writing patient notes, letters, and reports in a clear, concise, and accurate way.
